The first pottery festival in Vietnam will feature many activities related to pottery, including a fair for pottery and ceramic products, an exhibition of ancient pottery collections, a showcase of installation art using pottery and a photo exhibition of pottery art.

A ceremony will be held to honor Vietnamese traditional pottery villages and famous pottery artisans. In addition, there will be a fashion and acting competition plus a competition for pottery artisans.

Vietnam has many ancient pottery villages that have produced pottery for centuries, using different techniques and styles. The most famous villages are Bat Trang in Hanoi, Phu Lang in Bac Ninh, Phuoc Tich in Thua Thien-Hue, Tho Ha in Bac Giang and Chu Dau in Hai Duong.
